Pharr man stabbed to death in his front yard

PHARR - A man was stabbed to death on his front lawn Monday afternoon.
Officers discovered Arturo Nuncio Treviño Jr. just before 1 p.m. outside his home at 809 West Villa, near the intersection of Dicker Road and South Cage Boulevard.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from several stab wounds, Pharr police Lt. Guadalupe Salinas said.
Police officers received a call about the stabbing at 12:34 p.m., Salinas said. Investigators were trying to learn how Treviño, 29, sustained his deadly wounds and who inflicted them.
Treviño lived at the home with his sister-in-law and brother, who was working when the incident occurred, Salinas said.
"As far as leads, we don't have any yet," he said Monday afternoon.
An autopsy on Treviño's body was set for today.
