I made it through Valentine's day fine, outside of forgetting to eat until 2pm, and unceremoniously sitting down in the mud from the effects of a blood sugar drop.
After grabbing a salad, I biked home 41 miles (first big ride of the year). Had some yoghurt and a bath, and went to bed early (10pm...INCREDIBLY early for me)...
I had a dream where friends had taken me to a fancy restaurant for my approaching birthday (45 of the 25th) and the only thing I could eat there was a plate of lettuce. My subconscious was obviously feeling very put-upon.
This morning, I got sent a link of a commercial from "John Saint Denis"... if you're unfamiliar, they do these adverts for their "Candles and Vintage" which are very gay friendly, featuring a remarkably handsome man of certain age and his hither-to unseen male partner...
We get to see "partner" this new commercial. He's a pretty boy about 22 with frosted, poofy hair. I thought the commercial was LAME & TRITE, (although pretty). I strained something from the extreme eyerolling. Maybe it's a European thing? This need for spouses barely out of secondary school once you hit 40? I dunno.
