Is this Summer?
I once had a dream that I was swimming in the Thames. It was a long and involved dream. Steven Stapleton was swimming under me, wearing a top hat and his round black glasses, looking like an otter or a seal. Jhonn Balance and Peter Christopherson, both since dead, sat in their Victorian riverside garden looking incredibly petit bourgeois and content. When I got out of the water, David Tibet was waiting for me, looking rather frail and dejected, and asked me, "Is this the coming of Summer?" I answered with what I thought in my dream was a very clever quip, referencing the cover art for Take Care and Control, saying "In any case, Douglas P is already running around naked in his garden." Then I woke up with the strong feeling that this was the incorrect answer and that I was supposed to ignore Tibet's question and instead ask him about the hypnagogic Christ.
One year later, I met him at the Horse Hospital in London and asked him about the hypnagogic Christ with my cheeks burning, feeling rather silly. He didn't feel up to talking about it.
So, yes, I was pretty rather extremely obsessed with World Serpent Records and the interlinked musical outputs of all the people in my dream. All this to say, that yesterday felt like Summer had come early, even though we are not halfway into May.
All this to say, I took a bunch of pictures again, while getting a light sunburn.
