Im watching "Anthony Bourdaine; No Reservations". One of the shows I really like..lately I turn on the tv and cant find shit to watch so this is a nice surprise...Im such an exciting guy right?...anyways I dont know what to write, its been a long time since Ive updated this because I too am becoming a myspace whore. Ken (my uncle and boss) got invited again to the World Ice Sculpting championships and asked me if I could save up 1500 bucks by february to go with him as his partner. I couldnt believe he asked me considering he could go with his good friend David who is wayyy more experienced than I am and is usually his partner at any doubles ice carving event he goes to. I told him Id think about it, I dont know if i can save that amount of money that soon while trying to save for this apartment (hah, havent saved shit). I asked Ken if he really wanted me to go with him. I mean...its the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS and Ive never carved anything over 7 blocks...and the sculpture we will be doing in Japan (if I go) is 18 blocks!! but Ken said "Yea, I really think you could do it. I might want you to go to a few other competitions first just to observe other carvers with partners, but yea I think you could do it". I felt pretty good hearing that..honored I guess is the word. Its something Im gonna have to put some major thought into. Over christmas we're gonna do Ice carving demos downtown at the skating rink again, and Ken said one of the nights he just wants to go crazy with it... He told me he wants to do a 25 or 30 block ice sculpture. Something massive to make a name for ourselves with all the other ice carvers around the country. Itd be fun too :) a fuckin tonnnn of work though. Its not something we can do in one night so were probly gonna do most of it roughly...cut it into peices, transport those peices downtown...reassemble it, and finish it off for all the people to see. sighh alright enough about work. I cant wait to go home for Thanksgiving, I miss my family and friends, I wish my sister was going to be there :( shes gonna be with THE family in st louis though. so thatll be fun. Im driving down wednesday night with Cassidy meeting her family in Allen and dropping her off then driving to my parents Newwwww Town House..OoOoOo supposedly its really nice. ehh I shouldve written in this when Im not so tired...Ive got more to write but im goin to bed.
