Getting our facts straight
In the midst of the ongoing budget battle in Madison, one of the things missing is an analysis of how Gov. Walker's "Budget Repair Bill" will affect Wisconsin, Assembly district by Assembly district. I suspect that little work has been done to fully plot out the effect of his plans - one area that is coming to light is in the realm of public transit: by eliminating collective bargaining, Wisconsin stands to lose millions of dollars in Federal funding.
I expect we will see numbers like this continue to emerge, which is precisely what Gov. Walker and the Republican leadership at the Capitol do not want to happen.
