It's interesting to read
Paul Cornell's commentary about Convergence - in a very real way, he makes it clear that it is the convention that I wanted Minicon to be, a decade or so ago. He also makes it clear that the things we were squabbling about during the Late Unpleasantness were a matter of perception, not of fact - it was and is perfectly possible to run a large convention in the Twin Cities and not burn out. What's sad in retrospect is that it shows just how disconnected some of MinnStf's leadership was from the larger fan community at the time. Bravo that many of the Minicon 33 up-and-coming set went on to run Convergence.
