I still like livejounal. I like its quiet.
I always sketch out ideas here for things I will make more public later. I know there are some people still checking in on here but mostly its rare. I know its probably wiser to make things completely private until l care to communicate with the world but who cares what l say or think anyway? Its better if they don't care. I just like the idea that someone might like what l observe about the world. That is the same with music or any artistic endeavour really. We make for ourselves what we want to see in the world. My theory at the moment is that if l make enough maybe some of it will hit the right emotional receptors. The sense of giving away with art is always there but you give it to the air. Like letting go of a feather in the wind. Except, its never controlled. It might just land on my feet. It might go on forever never found. If you get an echo back then that is all you can hope for. Or maybe this is just a fancy way of describing a cynical marketing and advertising of ones own wares. It can feel like that in the ultra connected online world. Everyone is waving from their own little window, like hookers in vestibules exposing parts of themselves for a chance of validation.
