The Office: In Which The Police Are Remarkably Blase About Child Molestation

Feb 14, 2009 00:52

Didn't see an Office tag. This is from a future fic in which Jim and Pam have three kids, a seven-year-old boy and twin three-year-old girls. Jim takes all the kids to a museum and fails to supervise them for two hours until--surprise--one is kidnapped. But as the security guard tells us, all's well that ends well:

“In the basement, a storage room, the guy fled as soon as they kicked the door down, we have the police on him. She’s seems fine, no visible trauma, they don’t think he got that far yet.”

I...don't want to think about what that means.

Once down stairs, they saw Alice being carried up by a security guard. She was covered in dirt, and had a bruise on her face, but other than that looked fine.

Yeah, besides being molested and beaten, she was fine. Dirt???

It was a sight to behold. Jim and Alice were locked together, Jim saying over and over again how sorry he was. Alice finally told him “It’s alright daddy, it’s not your fault.”

Aww, what an adorable show of equanimity. "It's alright daddy, I'm sure I'll be free of any psychological repercussions."
