[Soubi has not slept very much himself, with all of this searching for an escape route. He's woken from a catnap just now, regaining his bearings more slowly than usual due to the absence of his master.

He sits bolt upright and looks down at the shackles. This is nothing new to him, as in his world, chains appear on people when magic hurts them. But never has he seen chains like this. They don't hurt him in and of themselves, and even more importantly, they seem to bind him to others. A few people he's seen on those communicators and some he hasn't, all bound by the wrist to him. He carefully brings a hand to his face and begins squinting into it, trying to see how it works so that he can remove it from himself.]
