004 | Sebastian (& Ruby) Michaelis [In Person]
[The butler has been making himself scarcer than usual. The population inside the manor has doubled, but there is something very, very off about these new souls. And, as he has been able to piece together from various network posts, there's probably one, somewhere, looking for him.
It's not that he's hiding. It's that these high bookshelves lining the library walls haven't been dusted in eons. Dusting is usually Meirin's priority, but he doesn't trust her within five feet of a ladder, let alone on one. So here he is, tucked into an obscure area of the library, on a ladder, getting the dust off those pesky high shelves.]

[There is nothing quiet about her announcement. And Sebastian, very rarely caught by surprise, nearly loses his balance for a brief second. She snuck up fast. -_-
He looks down at the young lady beaming up at him, about eighteen years old. Shining white teeth, tussled yet beautiful atramentous locks, and bright red eyes.
She looks quite a bit like him, fact.]
Father!
[Ha. No. He knows very well how demons spawn, and this isn't it. Sebastian leaps down from the ladder, landing lightly on his feet in a flutter of coattails. He puts aside the dust mop and approaches her. She surges forward and throws her arms around his chest, nuzzling(??) him.
He reaches down and seizes her by the chin, none too gently, and holds her a foot or so away, so he can inspect her more closely. She's not exactly human, but she's definitely not a demon, either. Her soul is so... flat. Empty. Likely to be utterly tasteless. A weak facsimile of a sentient being. He tilts his head, his eyes narrowing.]
What are you?
[She's whimpering now.] Ruby... I'm Ruby! You're hurting me, Father!
[Ruby? For the eyes, no doubt. What a disgustingly sentimental name. If whoever created her counted on any kind of paternal instincts kicking in, they were sorely mistaken. Sebastian wonders what would happen if he dropped her out the window.]
