[Henry taps his fingers on the arm of the chair he's sitting in. His face is blank, though he clenches his teeth every now and then. He's just found out about the tails and ears. He is not happy.]
[He brings his hand to his mouth, trying to control the blind rage. Now was not the time to correct him. Did he hate using this -- thing, yes. But it was that important.]
[Her heart seems to skip a beat; if he has found out about what the ears (or lack of) means, then she might as well tell him. But, what if it's something completely different? Deciding to risk it, she lifts her head]
No my lord - please, tell me - what is it that I've done?

So then you lie to the king of England -- nay, your own father!
[He turns from her, his disappointment apparent.] Who was he, Elizabeth and how could you let him defile you so? Do not lie to me, child. I have noticed your lack of... feline appendages.
[All he can imagine is the young woman he left behind. And here she was a woman. Though it did not matter, she was an unmarried woman. This could not do. He gripped the chair hard, still seething.]
[In person] I must admit, 'feline appendages' made me snrk..X3the_tudour_roseAugust 27 2010, 01:30:09 UTC
[Her face pales as she remains on her knee, not daring to look up again. She had been dreading this moment]
I'm truly sorry, sir - I was unsure of what you meant..
[Thinking back to Thomas Seymour, the only silver lining is that he's already dead. Not daring to even mention Robert, Elizabeth internally sighs in relief]
..it was Sir Thomas Seymour, your grace..but he has already been executed for treason, and I was but a foolish a child, it was a regretful mistake
[As the chair flew past her and smashed against the wall, Elizabeth straightened up instantly, her eyes flicking between her now outraged father and the broken chair behind her. Her voice is quiet but her resolve is steeled.]
[Best just to lie and get it over with - although she knew she shouldn't, she had done nothing that she felt she need repent for; the fling with Seymour was stupid of her, yes, but with Robert she regretted nothing]
[In person] Grr, I hate being so sexistspoiledkingAugust 29 2010, 00:38:10 UTC
[This appeases him more than it should. He straightens his shirt and turns back to her.] And what of your future prospects with a husband? Should any other sovereignty know, surely they would not have you.
[Her tone is playful; she has no idea what he need to speak to her about]
Would you like me to come to your rooms?

Now, please.

Quietly, almost nervously, she knocks at the door, and pushes it open slightly]
My Lord? You wished to see me..?

First, dear Elizabeth. Is there anything you wish to tell me before we start?

That is -- I am glad he was dealt with.
Tell me, did I know what happened?

No, I don't believe so

[Not that he is one to talk, but oh, don't you love the hypocrisy.]
