That's partly true but she's been away from me for a long time now. She's married to some schmo that ran drugs on the international scale.

She wanted to get away from that and start over. That meant leaving me behind too.

Don't be. It's my fault to begin with when I let her go in the first place because I was more involved in my work than paying attention to her. We went our separate ways after high school. It's bound to happen.

Of course it's not fair. I used to think that as a kid, when you loved someone it was forever but I guess as we get older there are some complications that just don't add up and people drift apart. It's part of life.

Look, realistically, asking life to be fair is like asking the Toothfairy her real name. It's not gonna happen easily.
