[After letting a rather distinctive scream from the morgue of the manor, Hayato had hastily scrambled up to the main floor. Shakily, he wandered through the halls, completely disoriented and very jumpy. He had his hands defensively wrapped around his stomach which is slathered in dried blood, as are his pants, and right shoulder

[What the hell was the point. Her best friend was dead...if she'd just went to him at the beginning of this damn plot, he'd have been just fine. She wouldn't have let anything hurt him, not ever. Stalking through the halls, she pitied anyone who got in her way.

Looking up on a whim, she paused as she saw Gokudera. Eyes widening, her scowl fell into a confused look.]

...'Dera?

[Moving forward, a well trained eye would be able to see her shaking slightly. He was dead, how could he still be alive? It made no sense to her at all...]

[He doesn't respond for a moment, as it takes him a moment to come to the realization that his name was called. Slowly he looks up at Temari, and just stares at her... he looks exhausted, and his expression is vacant.]

[Warily she walked up to him and set a hand on his shoulder. Warm...he was warm. A stark contrast to how cold he'd been the last time she'd seen him.]

You're alive? But...how?

[He jumped at her touch... even though he had seen it coming. God, he was such a mess. He opened his mouth to try and speak but found it was dry and horse. He looks down and coughs, the remains of the blood leaving a familiar metallic taste in his mouth.]

[Part of her wanted to kill this abomination. she'd seen him die and the dead should stay that way...but another part of her wanted to make sure he was okay and take care of him.

The side that wanted him alive spoke more loudly as she stepped up to wrap an arm lightly around his shoulders.]

[He tensed up at first, expecting pain... but the touch was familiar... she was warm... so he relaxed... and leaned into it a bit, trying to keep his shaking under control. Finally he moved his head to look up at her, pale and fearful. It had hurt. Memories of the pain kept invading his mind and he just couldn't stop it...]

T-temari...

[suna_bitch]

[It was true...he was back...he was real. Keeping herself from stroking his shoulder, her expression was simply confused. The dead didn't just come back to life; once you were dead, that was it.]

Gokudera? What happened? You were...you were dead...

[He pulls his hands back from the injury, revealing the black hardened scab over the remains of his injury. He looked down at his trembling hands in shock]

I-I-I was... I died... I really died...

[He couldn't quite answer her question yet, he had barely come to terms with what happened to him. He was still reeling from the shock.]

Yeah...I saw your body...

[And the person that let him die...but he didn't need to hear that right now. She'd just have to make sure that it never happened again.]

I'm sorry.

M-my body?

[He looked down at his blood covered hand, and then to his stomach, the memories coming back in flashes. He was being held... and before that he was running... and there was that thing... that thing! He was trying to drive it off. His eyes widen and he turns to grab Temari's shoulders, obvious worry plastered on his face]

Y-you're okay? Did Ryuutaro make it out too? D-did you see my boss?

[Temari looked okay... she felt okay, now for the other two. He needed to know if the three most important people to him in the manor were okay.]

[Jerking as he grabbed her, she didn't back away from him; she just stared in surprise. Well hello, she missed him too.

She couldn't stop herself from sneering as she heard Ryuutaro's name though. He'd let her friend die...he should have tried trying to save him. She didn't know about this boss of his, she wasn't even aware he'd arrived...that just went to show you how much Gokudera shared with her since he'd gotten closer to Ryuutaro. (Not that she knew just how close they'd gotten)]

Ryuutaro's fine. I haven't seen your boss though.

[And he seemed to relax a bit... Temari was okay, Ryuutaro was okay... his boss was strong. He would be alright... he just needed to go over this whole incident with him. He broke his promise after all.]

Boss is okay... he's always okay...

[He mutters this almost as an assurance to himself... then looks back up to Temari... she didn't answer how she had fared. Obviously she ended up better off than he did but still...]

You made it through okay too though... right? I-I'm sorry I-I tried to call you and get us together... b-but th-that thing got me... and I had to protect Ryuutaro, and I... I...

[He bit his lip. He died. He didn't want to say that out loud again though]

I'm fine.

[Just like he would have been if he'd been with her instead. She didn't think she could ever forgive the other boy for any of this, but she'd do her best in front of Gokudera.]

Don't worry about me, it takes more than some statues come to life to get the better of me.

[They came close to getting her a few times, but she seemed to be a better escape artist than they gave her credit for.]

What about you? I've fought you before, you're stronger than to let those bastards get a hold of you like this.

.... we were running from one of them, but the lights flickered. I got Ryuutaro out of the way...

[His hand goes up to the blood clot on his shoulder]

but it grabbed me, I think it broke something... it just hurt real bad... so I told Ryuutaro to run... I took out some dynamite and closed my eyes just before it went off. I got away, and Ryuutaro and got some distance but then got dizzy... and looked down.... and my stomach was.... my stomach was...

[The whole situation made her sick. Shaking her head, she fought to keep her voice steady. He needed to worry more about himself...if he was gone...what would she do then? It wasn't like there were many people in this god forsaken place that she could stand.]

You shouldn't worry about this Ryuutaro...let him worry about himself and just get yourself to safety. Okay? ...Just...just try to keep yourself alive.

I-I can't... he's...

[He bit his lip... he had only told one other person that he was dating another boy, but she was an alien and didn't exactly understand what it meant. But out of everyone he knew, if there was anyone he could trust to accept him for being the way he was, he could trust Temari. She had been willing to make use of him even after he lost his leg. He could trust her... he always did]

he's my boyfriend. I promised I would keep him safe...

[At least he kept that promise...]
