To my best count, there's at least two of them inside the Manor, and there was what's probably a third outside earlier. There might be more, it's hard to keep track of the bastards - doesn't seem like they can open the room doors on their own though, so it looks like the rooms are safe as long as you can keep them from getting in.

Can you loosen the screws on the air vent in your room? I'm leaving Leon with you - chameleons' eyes blink independently of each other, so he's good protection against these things, and I can stay out of their reach on my own.
