[Things seemed to be back to normal this week. No weird little animal/monsters, so sinking ship...just the manor. As though one could say the manor itself was normal...perhaps she could make it a little more normal

[Kaoru had been up and about early, he kind of missed his little teddy friend slightly, after all it was the closest thing he had to a close friend here. So for now he was making his way to the kitchen playing with his biscuits that he had in his room from before.
Placing the biscuit in the mouth he nibbled on it slightly before looking up when he reached the kitchen door. He stood there biscuit in his mouth as he watched someone cook.]
[Glancing back as she heard someone behind her, she offered a kind smile to the newcomer. She figured people would miss the little monsters...even hers was kind of lovable. Kind of.
Grabbing a clean plate, she set it on the table in case he decided he wanted more than what looked to be a cold biscuit.]
It's fine, I guess even after being here so long, I'm not use to seeing people around here so early in the morning.
[Yawning slightly, he had continued to nibble his biscuit, making his way over to the fridge to see what kind of drink he could get. Wondering about his choices, he ended up taking out the orange juice as he went to get a glass.]
I couldn't sleep and thought I'd make breakfast for whoever wanted it.
[It was better than just walking, at least she was being productive. Turning to him, something he said sparked her interest. He didn't look like he could be more than sixteen or seventeen...]
[These poor children...they must have went through so much hell. Leaning back against the sink, she kept her sharp eyes on the boy, a friendly smile on her lips.]
[It was so nice to find a younger person here with manners...aside from her kids anyway.]
Likewise.
[Stepping closer, she replaced the lid on the bottle and went to put it back in the fridge. It was really no trouble doing this for him, particularly since he may be all alone.]
Do you at least have anyone here? Friends or family perhaps?
[At the mention of friends or family, he started to fidget slightly with the glass that he had in his hands.]
No. It's...just me here.
[He put the glass to his lips again, making sure to take another drink so not to let his emotions get the best of him this time. He knew he could be strong, but...after so long he realised just how much he misses them all.]
[Kaoru still wasn't used to adults being helpful to him, usually in the past he would find them annoying and pull a trick on them, after all thats what happens when he and his brother got bored. Besides he always thought it was normal for adults to always be too busy.]
No need to thank me for something that any decent person should offer.
[Besides, she still had ALL THESE MOTHERING URGES...and suddenly both of her kids were completely grown. She needs to direct them somewhere, after all.]

I didn't think anyone was up at this time.

What brings you to be up early anyway?

Just how long have you been here?

[He paused for a moment putting the juice down as he thought about it, it had been a while since he arrived, he knew that much.]
I think pretty much close to a year that I've been dealing with the authors shenanigans.

Slowly making her way over to where Kaoru was sitting, she set her hand gently on his head.]
I'm sorry...I shouldn't have asked something like that.
[Not everyone was going to be as lucky as her. They may not have been the age she was familiar with, but they were still family.]

It's fine, I'm kind of glad my friends or family aren't here. hat way they don't have to go through what the woman does.
[He laughs slightly, it was true he missed them, but he knew what his brother would be like here and he didn't want that for him.]

[Lowering her eyes, she offered a small sad smile. This child was all alone...and yet he was being so brave about all of this.]
I'm sorry that you have to go through this without them, but you're right; It would be better if our loved ones weren't involved with this place.
You're not completely alone though...If I can do anything for you, you need only ask.

I always thought people were boring and well...me and my brother never took kindly to anyone. So, this is something I'm not overly use to.

Trust me. Stick around my family and we're anything but boring...well, let me change that. They're anything but boring.
