[There's a distinct sound of a...phone? Connecting with whatever network this might be, then a woman's voice, clear, concise, and irritated.]
This isn't funny Megamind. [It's an automatic assumption that he's got something to do with this. She sits up, rubbing her eyes.] And, it's kind of tasteless right now, don't you think?
[She does NOT sound

Roxanne...
[He runs up the stairs and throws open his door. The look on his face is not only depicting a stunned shock but there was some marked confusion on it too.]
Roxanne!
[He seems excited to see her but he doesn't move toward her just yet.]
I...you're okay!

Now this was REALLY tasteless. Was she in his...bed? Her voice rises a few octaves even as he bursts in.]
What have you done?!
[He'd kidnapped her and put her in his ROOM? His BED?!]
Reply
[His hands automatically go up in defense.]
Now just hold on a second. It's not what you think. I swear it. I didn't put you in my bed. In fact, I wasn't expecting you to come back...so that mean....
[He perks up.]
Did you-

[With a wordless snarl, she wrenches herself out from under the covers and hurls a pillow at him.]
You're lying - !
[How DARE he interrupt her date! How dare he!]
Haven't you done enough?! Ugh!
[She flings another pillow.]
Reply
What?- WHAT DATE?!
[Now he's frustrated because he has no idea what's going on.]
Are you...you moved on? But I thought we-
Reply
We what?! Moved on? What are you talking about? [She gasped in anger, pointing a shaking finger at him.]
Look - last thing I remember? I was at a restaurant on a date with my boyfriend-- and you were cooped up in City hall, probably working on that brilliant plan of yours involving Hal.
Seriously? Hal? Of all people?

Oh...
[Now he stiffens up. How is he going to explain that? This was definitely awkward.]
Yikes...well, hee-hee, you're not going to believe this but he was an accident. A costly one at that. I didn't see it until I...okay, okay, we're going to need to talk.
[He picks himself up off the floor, holding the two pillows in his arms.]
We really need to talk.
Reply
Talk? Talk-? Are you crazy? I'm not interested in talking.
[She's interested in finding the door and getting out of this room before she has a panic attack about waking up in his BED.]

Then...you're welcome to leave.
[Heartbreak was in his eyes but his face tried to hide the pain his heart was feeling. It was tearing him apart from the inside that the woman he fell in love with still hated him. Fate dealt him some rather cruel cards but none as cruel as this.
He clutched the pillows tightly in his balled fists. He really hated the Author right now.]

Well thank you. You’re such a gracious host. [She was snapping at him, she could hear it in her voice, but waking up in his bed and what was so obviously his room had rattled her.
And that look on his face certainly not helping matters. It was confusing - Hadn't they always been like this? Banter, snapping, well aimed potshots? Why did he look like she'd slapped him?]
Just what?

Nothing
[He turns away from the door, giving her the room to exit. It was pointless to try to get her to remember what they had so what was the point in saying it.]

This was a little overwhelming, too much for a rational, fairly analytical person to be able to deal with comprehensively. She’s floundering a little. She doesn’t like things that aren’t easily explained by something she can see, something real and tangible in front of her.
She heads to the door, but stops a few feet from him.]
…What were you going to say? [He at least owed her some kind of explanation. There was something she was obviously not getting.]

HA! You fell for it!
[He tossed the pillows to the bed and began to circle Roxanne.]
Ooh, you really think I'm that soft? Oh ho! Well, we'll just see about that.
[There's too many people now saying otherwise but if she firmly believes that he's the villain, sure, he'll play along.]
And you looked so good too.
[Whoops, that wasn't supposed to happen.]

She turns as he circles her, following him with a narrowed eyed suspicious stare.]
I was starting to wonder if you’d lowered your standards, Megamind. [She answered loftily. This was comfortable. This. Made. Sense.
Until he threw another wrench in the spokes.]
I was on my way to a date, remember?
Reply
Uh huh~ and now you're here with me, that only means that your poor helpless, defenseless boyfriend is left sitting along at the table.
[He dramatically puts his hand up in a his forehead. Oh, he could have fun with this. Well, might as well come clean and tell her that he was the boyfriend waiting for her back home.]
Oh whatever will he do? Will he rush off to find his dame? Will he decide to to finally tell her the truth? Oh the humanity!

He stood up to you - remember?
[She was trying - and failing - to control her anger. Not only anger, but also uncertainty about being randomly brought into a place against her will, and apparently not by Megamind. There is a very big problem with that, in her eyes.]
The truth? What are you talking about? You aren’t making any sense.
