002 - Near - [Audio] - Please bear with him and his tl;dr

Apr 11, 2011 13:04

[A week of waiting had been enough. Near had see how the epidemic had subsided just as quickly as it had come, and all over the course of exactly one week, just as he was told. The event itself paved way for other advantages as well. Near did not have to worry about any sort of physical threats due to everyone else falling ill, and since those who ( Read more... )

I am very familiar with space- traveling through time and space is my... hobby- however, I can't seem to get into the control room. Must be a dead lock seal.

[If you listen closely- you can hear this!]

That's good to know. In that case, does where we are right now appear at all familiar to you?

Also, what is that noise?

[He didn't hear it earlier when that other person was also trying to break into the control room.]

Not even remotely- but if I could just get into the control room- I could probably figure something out but there's no guarantee we're in my universe- and if things work like I think they do with this girl- we are definitely not. The Robot caretakers should be more... responsive.

Oh that? That's just the Sonic- it's how I usually open doors but it doesn't work on wood- not the problem here- or a deadlock seal.

[You have officially caught his attention.]

What robot caretakers?

What kinds of doors does the Sonic work on?

The ones doing the cleaning- and cooking- but that's all they do- nothing else.

All kinds- except wood. It doesn't do wood- and as I said- deadlock.

The ones programmed to cook should be in the kitchen. What about the ones programmed to clean? Do they clean our rooms?

[Near wants a robo slave D:]

I don't know- I would say to ask one but they seem to ignore everything going on around them.

But there's a girl around here somewhere that's always cleaning- short hair, brown, usually in a skirt- I think she just likes to clean.

[Silly Doctor, Near cannot reprogram a human girl to do menial labor for him.

But for future reference.]

What is her name?

Also, are you near one of these robots right now?

Oh damn- what was that girl's name- started with an A- I believe- or was it an N? one of the other- it was a short name- Japanese I think

No, actually- I'm by the control room- they don't seem to mind which means- they think I can't get in- and they probably right.

[Why oh why are the people at this place so useless?]

I had talked with someone earlier who had also tried to access the controls. He was unsuccessful.

Are you familiar with the technology?

Yes... and... no... sort of- this is more than likely not my universe- as I've said- but the structure of the ship I've seen before- probably-

[you can't see it but he just licked the wall]

There's definitely an engine- I can feel it- the structure is definitely a year 3064- which probably isn't the safest- but we should be fine.

[Audio] - why is he licking the wall? xD whitestlie April 13 2011, 09:08:36 UTC
3064 ... What year are you from?

All of them- in a sense- I'm a Timelord- I'm not from a specific year. And if I was, I've long sense forgotten- it's what happens when you've been traveling through time and space for 900 years.

[The first thing that comes to Near's mind is what kind of equipment this "Timelord" has smuggled in his room, or where ever he might keep his tools. The lock picking device, impressive as it may sound, has limited use the manor, but that need not apply to others. Hmm.]

If you existed beyond the 31st century, then shouldn't breaking in be easy for you?

Should be- but nothing gets past a deadlock seal- that's why it's called a deadlock.

Mister Timelord, out of curiosity, how does one travel through time?
