002 - Near - [Audio] - Please bear with him and his tl;dr

[A week of waiting had been enough. Near had see how the epidemic had subsided just as quickly as it had come, and all over the course of exactly one week, just as he was told. The event itself paved way for other advantages as well. Near did not have to worry about any sort of physical threats due to everyone else falling ill, and since those who ( Read more... )

June 1st for me. Oh and if you need a map, it's better to make your own. Things change a little too often too quickly and no, I don't know about space ships. Plots like this last two weeks. Three tops in cases with complexity. Wanna see something neat?

So the length of plots vary in complexity. [Most people seem to default cap them at one week. The Author must not be very smart or have short attention span then.]

What constitutes "neat?"

Have you looked out of your window? The sky is now our backward. Anyway, there has been two plots where the span has been three weeks. One of them constituted a deserted island that had an onsen. I suppose it wasn't as deserted as it was originally planned to be if it had something like that.

Oh, then there was the nuclear city Prypiat...or something. But that doesn't matter now. It was harsh and really boring. Did you know that Twinkies have a shelf life of twenty years?

[Why is this strange man talking about over-commercialized Hostess cakes? Hmm, Near will use ignore.]

It seems these plots can be quite inconsistent. Are you able to list them all in order from most to least recent as far back as you can remember?

Well, that's a little hard to do since the Author doesn't exactly give us a list of what to do when we're put in these weird scenarios and the names are a little bit too fluid since everyone has their own interpretation of this place.

Now, the Plot Bunny is the one to ask for that. I suppose you hadn't met him yet. Nice guy, if you can stand the whiskey and cigar smoke. It's just disgusting.

[Does the rabbit actually drink and smoke, or is this man going off on a tangent again? Well, neither is important to Near.]

Yes, I've heard about this rabbit. Do you know how to get in touch with him?

Well, I would assume that you just ask for him like any other person in this place. He's the plot bunny. Where else would he be? Besides in a hole in the ground but we're not on Earth anymore are we, Spock?

[You can't see this, but Near has a very not-so-happy look on his face right now.]

So you don't know.

[Sighs.]

Of course I do. I just told you. All you have to do is ask for him on the network. Duh.

[Skeptical Near is skeptical.]

Has anyone done this and succeeded?

Yes.

He's gone now. Ask the bunny.

[Is that snark he senses?]

So you don't know.

[Actually it can be interpreted as snark when he's actually being honest.]

Uh, you really shouldn't mumble, 'cuz you're starting to bum me out!

[Now that's snark.]

[Audio] - aha, the mumbling line! whitestlie April 15 2011, 08:47:55 UTC
Oh? I'm terribly sorry. [Usually, Near defaults to an apathetic tone when expressing apologies. However, just for you, Willy, he makes sure that this one sounds especially sarcastic.]
