[Ulquiorra is sitting casually in the dining room, calmly sipping at some tea. He was about as happy as he could possibly be now that he was back in his own body... which means there's virtually no difference in his demeanor at all. He's simply doing something mundane, surly that merits him being in a good mood!...Right ( Read more... )

[Entering the kitchen before Megamind does his report for Black Jack, he had a hard craving for some donuts in order to get his work done. He sees the strange man sipping the tea and...is that a hole in his chest? He stops and looks.]

Amazing...

[Ulquiorra pauses and looks up at the... what ever that was. It was no concern to Ulquiorra the species but it was staring at him... like he was the oddest thing in the room... it was... mildly ironic]

Is there something you need?

[This is of course said with no intention to offer any help in finding what the blue man needed.]

I'm simply curious about your race that has a hole in the chest. Where does the tea go?

[He would put his hand through it but that would mean physical contact and that could have a negative impact.]

The placement of the hole is unique to me.

[Another calm sip of his tea.]

I do not see how it matters how I do things. The fact that I am able to do them should be a satisfactory reason enough.

[Ah yes.... physical contact could mean VERY bad things, especially where that hole is concerned....]

[Pulling back his hand, he looks back to the face of the hole's owner.]

So...your race has holes in their bodies? I have never encountered such a thing and you know, being that you are different such as myself, I don't feel so alone...but I have to get back home.

[Race? The term didn't quite feel right. Not for something that is essentially a transformation of a human soul. A 'creature' would be far more accurate, however, due to his visage while his Zanpakuto is sealed, he will allow it to slide]

From the information I have gathered, that is impossible.

[Instantly deflated, Megamind really hoped that answer wasn't absolute.]

Have you tried it yourself?

I investigated the matter. Dimensional portals do not work, and from what I have heard the outer barrier is impenetrable. I assume others have already tried.

[Ulquiorra takes another sip of his tea. He is as impassive about all this as ever.]

The only option is to await getting released.

[Now his deflation gives way to sadness.]

But.....that could take forever and Minion....he'll be so alone without me. Roxanne....her job...everything will change.

[His brow furrows and now gives way to determination.]

No. I can't let that happen. I can't just sit by and wait to be released. You may be the defeatist but I will not be defeated!!

What you do is of no concern to me. However it is a futile effort.

[Whatever this creature was, it resembled a human far too much. Ulquiorra had made it plainly clear that there was no point in trying, yet this creature was going to go forth and put in a useless effort anyway. Bothersome.]

[His arms cross over his chest. Being raised by humans and with humans inside a prison, he didn't notice a difference.]

I'm not giving up. I have a girlfriend to protect.

Your personal life is of no concern to me. I have said my piece. Do as you will.

[And another sip of tea. He disapproved of this creature, but that was about as far as he was willing to take it. Such extremes as most creatures took there emotions was illogical and foolish, and simply made no sense.]

[He took that as a hint to do a heel-face-turn and walked out of the room. Being around this one certainly was a mood killer.]
