Eighth position •~• Nina •~• Dessus [In person/Accidental Video]
[As per her usual routine, Nina was heading to the dance studio for several hours. She preferred it there over any other part of the house - mostly because it allowed her to dance freely, but also because it was a familar environment to her. After a particular event the previous week, she hadn't rehearsed any pieces, so today she was planning on really pushing herself.
But, first, the best therapy for any dancer, second only to dancing; breaking in new shoes. So, armed with a hammer, a brand new pair of pointe shoes (thank you Author) and a pair of scissors, Nina pushes the doors to the dance studio open.
The feed comes on a second or so after Nina puts it down, checking any messages she might have had before sitting herself on the floor and removing the shoes from their packaging. For anyone watching, they'll be able to see her abusing the shoes pretty badly; scratching the soles into oblivion, bending them, hitting them with the hammer.
Once her shoes are on and she's warmed herself up, Nina hits 'play' on her iPod, this time on a new playlist, and starts dancing. At certain points, she substitutes her male partner with other moves. Once this finishes, however, she goes straight into another, more improvised piece - with energy to burn and a personal goal to meet, Nina was no where near done]
