In any case, Ryuzaki-san, you've arrived at the Manor... well, it's not a manor right now. On a normal basis, all of the people here are trapped inside a mansion at the mercy of a deranged teenaged girl called the Author who enjoys playing tricks on us. This happens to be one of her tricks: from what I've gathered, we've been projected into a crappy American horror movie that involves dinosaur mauling.

There are boats, escape boats, on the docks. You might want to head towards them.

Or just stay put... by the end of the week, we'll have been transported back to the Manor and everything will be happy-dandy again.

[Impossible. Impossible. His brow furrows even further as he studies the face on the Blackberry. Suddenly, the triceratops is a secondary concern. His eyes cannot see. He rubs them hastily, blinking in rapid succession, but there is still nothing. The cat ears, he surmises, must be the reason. Not human would make a reasonable exemption to his sight, in theory. It doesn't stop him from being incredibly bitter and childish about this.]

This is a movie.

[Sullenly, he transitions from audio to video. There's only one thing that would make this situation more tolerable.... If this despicable exemption knew L, then surely she would react to his face.]

[Unfortunately, Koto lacks a reaction as Ryuzaki's face blinks into view: she never did know L. She just flashes him a smile and an exaggerated meow in amused response to his nickname.]

My name is Koto, if you're looking for something different... and no, usually the "events" that the Author schedules take place in the Manor itself. Last week we were all reverted to children... [She trails off thoughtfully.] I personally haven't been here all that long, though, only a month or two.

[Disappointing. Utterly disappointing. Not even Koto's cheery smile can lift B out of the vast depression threatening to envelop him. Knowing that L might not actually be here... and that he is not in Room 404. He was poised to win there, his own corpse was supposed to be the final insult to L's intelligence, what good did it mean if he disappeared, if he failed to leave the last corpse?! And if what this anomaly is saying is true.... He only had minutes left, not months to fix this! His entire expression becomes despondent.]

[Almost a split second later however, his entire expression changes. The transition from bitterness to deadpan, is dizzyingly fast, and entirely unnatural.]
