[Light has his own troubles to deal with. Dinosaurs were the least of them. If he could somehow manipulate the situation correctly, he may even be able to get L eaten accidentally. Or trampled. He isn't picky about this. Of course, he isn't stupid enough to create plans involving flighty, unpredictable things like dinosaurs. It registers with an annoyed 'Tch' just how damn accustomed to the Author's nonsense he had become.
It does occur to him as he watches the silent feed, that this unfortunate stranger who had the eternal misfortune of being written in this week may need medical attention, even if his gaze seems to be indicate that he is either a) in denial about needing medical attention or b) needlessly defiant about this situation. Either way, the new arrival may have needed help of some sort. Reluctantly, he turns on his own video feed to ask the question he already knew the answer to.]
[[More B than A, though A is always a possibility with him, Hiiro's use of the blanket has come to a close by the time the communicator goes off. It takes him a few minutes to want to even look at it or consider the use of it, but then he asks himself what difference it would make if he did or didn't make contact. Maybe at one point the illusive Wufei may even pick up a transmission since he's less likely to show up on a system than the other three.
He sighs heavily and takes hold of the communicator while he still has the notion to give any damn about it. With a quick scan of who it is and the mindset that he firmly doesn't know him, he hits reply.]]

[Light knows better than to judge a person based on four words, but the tired, almost imperious tone, immediately grates his nerves the wrong way. Granted, he wouldn't have been in the mood for meaningless tête-à-têtes either if he were in this stranger's position, but something about his reaction to this is a little too relaxed. Something, if he were to use loose abstractions a la L, would have landed this stranger in the neighborhood of two percent. Whatever the hell that meant.
In any event, Light wonders exactly how long this new arrival has been on the island, or if indeed he is a new arrival at all. Most of the new people he had met were noisier about their presence here, or at the very least jumped at the opportunity to ask questions- the most basic of which would have been, "where am I?" or some such permutation, though admittedly... this person could simply be monitoring all the feeds. With that new deduction to add to his growing paranoia, Light makes a mental note to lock all of his feeds in the future.]My name is Light

[[Percentiles or not, Hiiro couldn't care less where he was as much as how to get back and finish off what threatened Earth. Anything else was all but pushed out of his mind and situations of danger or extreme danger weren't a foreign issue to him. Stoic and statue-esque, Hiiro continues to watch Light as he speaks.
He's getting the Treize vibe from him and he's not liking it, not one bit. This is solidified to him after he hears him speak. The dignified tone, the remark easily falling from his lips as though he had pre-thought every word or had practiced it along side of anyone else.
Yagami? At least they shared one thing in common other than a sense of how to feel people out. Instantly after Light asks who he is, Hiiro chimes in with the reply.]]
--No one of consequence. I've ascertained enough to know we've been abducted. If you have no information on other pilots who have been taken, or how to get back, then I'm sure we have more pressing issues than this.

[It's a button that has mostly become a relic of his days as Kira back in his own world, but the fact that this stranger chooses to conceal his name, more so than any other minor tick Light picks up on during their brief conversation, effectively solidifies his position on Light's list of undesirables alongside Naomi Misora and L. Never mind the fact that the Author is at least thoughtful enough to place a name plaque on all of their doors, never mind the fact that Light couldn't even use his damn Death Note here for all the detectives running around.]
No one of consequence?
[He repeats the phrase with a small polite smile.]
Well, I would admittedly prefer to know whom I am speaking to, if only for formalities sake, but... as for what you would like to know, I'm afraid I can't help you. I don't believe I've run into other pilots, and as for a way home, I've been assured there isn't one.
[[Hiiro's blank, robotic features stare back at Light without much a change. All of his emotions are inward and they're all giving him a creepy vibe about this guy. Everything about him, his smile, his manner of speaking, everything about him seems... well, fake. He knows full well that Light is one of the 'more than just gentle, polite little ol' moi' types.
The less than angry way that he insists oh so diplomatically that he know 'who' he's talking to irks Hiiro in a wrong way as well. He stays quiet, however, listening and reading parts, but not the whole, mostly like a book.
A long few moments after Light is done speaking, Hiiro makes a small quizzical noise as he thinks.]]
Your information is invaluable, it's confirmed what the other said. [[That's as close to a thank you as anyone gets from him. He's again staring at the feed, unreadable, unfathomable behind blue eyes that give away not one single thing.]]
[It's a minor victory at best that Light is able to pull a name out of this guy, if only because Light is convinced by the careful way in which Hiiro Yui speaks that Hiiro Yui isn't actually his real name. The style of Hiiro's speech almost reminds him of... well himself. Words are meted out, almost as if they are priceless commodities. He gives enough to answer the question to satisfaction, but otherwise, nothing. Of course, the difference there is the fact that at least Hiiro Yui didn't seem to be as interested in issuing challenges.
The question here, however, is this. As unimportant as Light and the rest of the Manorites obviously are to Hiiro, would he even bother with an alias in the first place? Probably not. Additionally, Light doubts Hiiro knows anything about Kira, which gives him even less of an incentive to lie. Given his grudgingly respectable poker face though, Light has no doubt Hiiro could lie just as well as Light can... which would make Hiiro either a respectable ally, or a formidable enemy. [[A lot of Light's views, if they could be a book, would have been written about Light by Hiiro in return. The polite smile, the outward front-face of socially acceptable teenager, the way he obviously wanted the answer to his question. All of these things drove a huge neon sign right straight over Light's head.
Light Yagami, couldn't be trusted himself. Nor, until further research, would he be for that matter. Hiiro studies the vision on the screen, he's caught only by one thing Light says to him- about how cooperation is important. It's not so much what he said as it is how he said it. Ambiguous and left open-ended to anyone who cared to see that perhaps he wasn't just talking about the Author if it was subconscious or otherwise.
Hiiro tilts his head in a semi-nod of appreciation after hearing he only needs to ask. Well, has he got a question for Light.]]
Who's cooperation? Mine to the Author or mine to you? Your statement is open-ended, English isn't my first language.
