[The feed starts with a clatter and some cackling. Soon enough dust settles to catch glimpses of a large blue figure riding a very disgruntled raptor. He holds on for a good number of minutes before he's thrown on the ground next to the blackberry. He's grinning and laughing up a storm even as the raptor comes around to lunge at him. [Shiki is watching from a distance with a quiet and restrained awe. The raptors were big, and from what he'd heard of studies of them they weren't the sort of thing that you took on so casually.]

[After a moment of rest Vol'Jin gets up, allowing the raptor to get up as well. As the beast struggles to either run, or have a go at the Troll, Vol'Jin quickly tugs at the rope around the raptor's head or delivering a swift kick to keep the lizard under control. Without much effort on his part he ties the beast up to a tree. Patting the raptor he turns and looks at his little watcher. He turns and lumbers over to the boy]

[Shiki momentarily freezes at the very thought. Taking on a Raptor? Stepping forward he places a grip on the hilt of his katana.]

[He cackles and turns back to the raptor]

Wit pleasah.

[He walks to the raptor and unties it from the tree. With one effortless moment he's on the thing once again, and it is NONE TOO HAPPY. It starts running and jumping trying to shake the old troll off.

..And Vol'Jin is just laughing up a storm like it's some sort of game. After a few minutes of work he manages to get the raptor to stand in place, but it fidgets uncomfortably.]

Dat be how ya do it! Wanna be givin' it a try?

[Shiki let out an equally devilish grin and stepped forward sheathing his blade. It was no different to the idea of an impetious horse. He was strong enough to put this one in it's place.]

[The troll hoped of the raptor who once again went into a frenzy trying to escape and take a chunk out of it's captor. Nothing a good few whacks from Vol'Jin couldn't fix]

[Sparing no time Shiki hoisted himself upon the raptor. Vol'Jin had assumedly tired the poor beast out or simply given it a concussion as it didn't struggle as violently as he'd seen it do so. Never the less he gripped tightly with his thighs and gripped it's neck.]

Hush you foolish beast.

[He didn't dare pet it, lord only knew how flexible it's neck was. Despite it being a reptile - this was no Toothless. It bucked and several times he had to push himself back up on the thing. Sadly however he was flung from it finally. He wasn't exactly king of the rodeo.]

[Vol'Jin gets a good laugh out of the kid attempt. Before the raptor can make a go at Shiki, or make a run for it, Vol'Jin once more subdues the creature, trying it up to the tree.]

Not too bad, but I tink he be a bit big fa ya. Ja need more weight ta keep dem from squirmin' so much.

[Shiki hisses wiping his bottom lip, it wasn't bleeding profusely, just a slight split that was probably down to dry skin anyway.]

As you can tell I'm hardly a heavy weight champion. [Dusting himself off.]

How might I fight one of these off should the need arise? I doubt my blade would do knowing the Author.

[The Troll rummages for something in his bag and pulls out a very primitive weapon. A thickly braided rope with heavy rocks fastened to each end. He hands it to the human]

Ja take dis and trow it at da ankles. Once dey be down, dey got a hard time gettin' back up.

[Vol'Jin has to think of a situation that could result in calling it the 'worst' that involves the raptor.]

I be eatin' him.

[Because clearly he thinks that raptor is not a threat to anyone, the only possible concern would be food]

Dis little ting? Naw, I be growin' up wit much more impressive raptah's den dis fellow. Raptah ain't nuttin' ta be worryin' about. If it be Naga or scourge though, then Vol' Jin would be a might mo' worried.
