[Sara knew she was no longer at school. And after stepping out into the street, she was no longer in New York. In fact, she had no idea where she was. All she knew was that she was chilled to the bone, hungrier than she'd ever been, and completely alone.

Wrapping her arms around her thinning frame, she starts wandering down the street, eventually

[After escourting the dragon to his hotel room to rest up he'd made his way out into the streets, looking for Black Jack, and also scouting those who needed medical attention. That is until he'd spotted the little girl in the middle of the street. Grimacing he rushes over and crouches before here.]

My apologies if this sounds strange, but before we start introductions, it might be a good idea to get out of the open. There's monsters lurking around here.

[She steps back a little, not knowing whether or not to listen to him]

Monsters..? What do you mean? Where am I?

[In Person]

[He nods.]

I'm afraid there isn't much time to explain. I'll answer all your questions when we're out of the open.

You're currently in Paris, or a mimic of it.

Paris..

[He seemed like a nice man, but she was still very wary. Plus the lack of food had left her a little light headed and confused as it was, so this wasn't helping]

..where are we going?

[He nodded, a soft smile crossing his lips, if only for a moment. She was showing signs of the early stages of starvation, so he'd have to find something for her.]

To the hotel around the corner, it's the only place that's not become over-run by monsters.

[There's a loud crash in the distance and the sound of a two-tone shriek permeating the air, making Hatori's heart jump into his mouth.]

.. We must get moving and soon.

[She jumps at the crashing and the noise, and despite her best efforts, she's starting to look as scared as she feels. She turns to Hatori and nods]

O-okay

[In Person]

[As long as she didn't hug him, he'd be fine, so very sharply he offers his hand for her to hold onto. His brisk walk very soon turning into a half run so that Sara could keep up with him.]

It is not normally like this, if that is any form of comfort?

[She seems to relax a little hen he takes her hand, and hearing the crashing from round the corner, she's more than happy to run]

It is a little, thank you

[As they run, Sara looks up around her at the buildings and shops, wondering which hotel they were going to..]

[Just as they were about to turn the corner Hatori suddenly ducks behind one of the decorative pillars. He'd heard something down the street and he didn't think it was another person.]

The monsters here, people keep calling them 'Kishin'. They are people who devoured the souls of others so they might become stronger. If you see one while we are here, you are to run. Understand?

[He was stern but only out of worry at this point. Especially as whatever it was making that noise lumbered past them, oblivious of their presence. For now at least.]

[She listens to him closely, not knowing when she'll need to remember their conversation again in the future.

When she knows they're out of sigh, she peeks around the edge of the pillar, her eyes widening at what they just avoided]

They eat souls..? But that's..how is that possible?

[Her voice is hushed, as if she's asking herself more than him]

[Glancing around for a moment, he then grabs her had again, giving her a few seconds to register that they'd need to bolt once more. The Kishin's attention had been diverted by a bench it seemed.]

If we go, we go now. I'll explain all that I am aware of when we are out of harm's way.

[With that he makes a dash to the hotel's entrance. Wary of the gargantuan presence that was now ripping the bench to pieces.]

[She'd be lying if she said she wasn't relieved to see the hotel in front of them.

Once inside, she took her hand back, forgetting how cold she was for a minute as she looked around herat the lavish surroundings..]

[Mentally kicking himself a little he shrugs his jacket off and hands it to the girl.]

Here, use this until we can find something else. Is there anything else you need?

[In Person] Hatori, you're like a strict butler XD

[She accepts his jacket gratefully, despite the fact it more than swamped her. It was like wearing a coat of her fathers, so she wraps it around her a little tighter]

Thank you..um..something to eat would be lovely

[Normally she wouldn't have asked, and she would have found food by herself, but he was offering, and she was beyond hungry]

[In Person] Huuush, he's just trying to be niice

[Hatori nods and points to the small restaurant tucked away in the back of the hotel lobby.]

Alright, we'll get you fed and then find a place for you to stay. Do you have any preferences to food?

[He didn't mean to seem distracted, but to be honest he felt like a twitchy rabbit awaiting the hunters.]
