[Anyone venturing into the library may stumble upon D'eon snoozing in a large chair, oddly enough his hair is down. He's got a pile of books on the table next to him, most of them appear to be history books pertaining to France and a bit on America and Canada dated after the 1700's. Yes, D'eon is trying to cheat on history, but it appears he forgot

Jack's grinning from ear to ear. The soft chiming from his dangling beads seem to have caught the attention of the other tribble that he hasn't noticed yet.
After reading a paragraph or two, his eyes caught the sight of the tribble and yelped.]
WHOA!!

Ah... bonjour... oh dear it seems I fell asleep here... that is quite embarrassing...

Furry mushroom!

[D'eon reaches for the top of his head feeling something heavy. Feeling something hairy, that wasn't his own hair his eyes widen and he quickly throws the thing to the floor, and it quickly scampers away with D'eon's ribbon.]
MON DIEU! what on Earth?
Reply
[He jumps up onto an adjacent chair and draws his sword the moment the thing scurried off.]
Furry mushroom! They are everywhere and they sound funny.
[His eyes are locked on the position of where the tribble may have run off to.]

Well at the very least the appear to be harmless. Mischievous little creatures, but harmless.
[cautiously heads into the direction of the tribble that stole his manly ribbon.]

[Jack watched cautiously and puts his sword away. D'eon was right that they didn't seem to be hissing or terrible creatures but they do seem to have a rather strange look to them that reminded him of furry sea urchins than cats. At least cats had a face.]
The one that has taken your ribbon moved under the shelf.

So Monsieur, I take it you have encountered these little beasts earlier?
[D'eon's captive tribble looks terribly unhappy in D'eon's hand.]

[Jack hops off the couch and steps forward with his customary swagger.]
I've tossed more out my window than the dust balls I collected from under my rack, mate. That I can assure you is a relatively high number in comparison to dust balls.

[D'eon felt rather embarrassed that he hadn't noticed until now, engrossed in reading as he was. He tosses his captive tribble and gives it an nudge with his foot sending it scurrying off somewhere.]
I thank you Monsieur for bringing the creature to my attention. I am Chevalier D'eon de Beaumont, it is a pleasure to meet you.
[D'eon bowed politely. He hoped he would get an introduction from this man, he assumed him to be a scalawag of some sort because D'eon thinks scalawag is still a legitimate word and he was quite interested to know his name. Perhaps they came from a similar time?]

Well met, Chevalier Beaumont. I am Captain Jack Sparrow, son of Captain Edward Teague, Keeper of the Code, and Lord of the Caribbean piratical sect as one of the nine.
[Not that any of that was relevant but it did sound like a good greeting and equal to the one he received from D'eon at the very least.]

You sound quite well-versed in travel, I must admit I am not quite as knowledgeable in the land across the seas. Although your name, it is an English name is it not?
[if he was indeed of English origin, then he was England's problem... and he could pillage all the English ships to his hearts content as far as D'eon was concerned.]

[Jack smiled. He found a globe and spun it, using his finger to stop it and grinned.]
Anywhere there is water, I have traveled it.
Reply
How fascinating! I have not traveled far from France myself, although I was recently given orders to travel to Russia from King Louis. I wouldn't suppose you would know much of Russia?
Reply
I've heard of it. Never actually set foot on the land m'self but...did you say King Louis?
[That name certainly rang a bell in his head. He tilts his head.]
Would you happen to know of a King George the Third by chance?
Reply
[D'eon looks perplexed at the mention of King George the third]
I am aware of King George the second. He is currently the King of England, unless he had passed on and news has yet to reach France.
