Hayato didn't waste a second stepping into his boyfriend's room. He could feel himself just to calm down... not much... but he wasn't getting more panicked by the second anymore. He couldn't ease his breathing or his trembling... but he wasn't jumping at every small noise at least.

"U-uh... hey... I.. um... well I...."

And a flash from the dream plays through his mind. A blond man holding him off the ground by his neck. Questioning him about the location of the Tenth. He himself felt the agonizing pain, like his whole insides were on fire... but he still managed to spit in the man's face... then he blinked... and it was no longer Gamma holding him off the ground, but the angel...

He shuddered and shook his head trying to force the horrific memory away. His gaze went to the floor, he was embarrassed about the childlike request he was about to make... but he didn't want to be alone after that. He needed something to distract him from letting those thoughts and memories take over his head...

"I-I was wonderin' if I could spend the night with you again..."

Even if Ryuutaro had not been a mind-reader for the week, he'd still could've practically tasted how Hayato feeled.
Minus the flashback of the nightmare of course. That was really scary. It was not fair that Hayato had to go through this.
Though in a way it was Hayato's luck. Anything less and Ryuutaro might just have been pissed about being waken up in the middle of the night.
He pulled his yukata closer around his body... It was cold in the room after all. Then he nodded. What else could he do, when Hayato looked like this? There was no way he'd be sending him away.

"Of course you can...", Ryuutaro replied quietly, still sounding quite tired, but growing more awake steadily.

Hayato let out a sigh of relief and smiled a little. He would be okay here. He always was. He leaned forward a little to affectionately and gratefully bump his head against Ryuutaro's, letting his eyes close for a moment as he enjoys the brief few seconds of contact.

"Thanks. S-sorry for wakin' you up..."

And with another deep breath he can feel his heartbeat begin to calm a little.

Ryuutaro was glad to feel Hayato calm down again. He didn't like seeing him like this one bit.

"It's fine...", he smiled a bit, "I've gotten used to odd sleep patterns by now..."
Didn't make it any better though. His beauty sleep getting interrupted was not a good thing, but at least he had his make-up to cover up for any possible flaw in his flawless appearance.
Ryuutaro reached up to rearrange some of Hayato's strands of hair without really thinking much.
He was tired, Hayato was feeling bad and those just looked wrong and that meant he didn't think much, had to comfort him and had to fix that, too.
"Better you come here than sleeplessly walk around in such a stat

Hayato nodded and followed Ryuutaro to bed. He didn't even know what the proper etiquette was when sleeping with someone you're dating... but at this point he was too tired to care. So he crawled into bed with Ryuutaro, and got comfortable. They had to get close because of the size of the bed, though Gokudera didn't mind, he just hoped he wasn't bothering Ryuutaro.

And maybe... just a bit... he moved his head so that it was just touching Ryuutaro's, and moved his hand so that it was brushing against his' boyfriend's. He loved that soft feeling of Ryuutaro's skin. Everything about him was just warm and gentle. He had really gotten a chance to experience it last week when Ryuutaro had let him rest against his chest. He could feel his heartbeat... the softness of his skin... he smiled a little to himself.

Though there was that little bit of his mind that just wandered of in stupid half-asleep thoughts... they were both fish last week... or part fish. That was kinda weird. Wouldn't that mean that they were naked too?

He was cuddled up to Ryuutaro compeletely naked and they slept like that.

And then Gokudera's thoughts get completely blundered together in some kind of mental keymash from the sheer awkward shock of it all. His face turns a DEEP shade of red, and he tenses up... but tries not to move or squirm unnecessarily... h-he didn't want to alert Ryuutaro... and silently prayed that he had already fallen back asleep...

Ryuutaro had been pretty much okay with the closeness, he trusted Hayato, now more than ever and he was just way too tired to care.
But definitely not tired enough to fall right back asleep, after all there was now thoughts close to him in the room, not just the annoying distinct murmuring of the rest of the Manor residents.

And these thoughts specifically were extremely hard to ignore. If anything Ryuutaro was just much more awake now.
They were... well... Hayato was right. There was not much to be changed about that, but just the way Hayato was awkward about it alone totally colored off on Ryuutaro.
"Uhm... I assume, you are aware, that I can still hear you?", he asked silently after embarrassed clearing his throat.

CRAP!

And yeah that's some awkward squirming right there. Wh-what could he even SAY to that?! He didn't mean to think it! He couldn't help but be embarrassed about it! Ryuutaro was cute, and he had a nice body and- AND HE IS JUST DIGGING HIMSELF INTO A DEEPER HOLE! DAMMIT! C-can't he just... turn his brain off for a while?!

"S-s-sorry..."

And Ryuutaro just stared at Hayato, as much as it was possible in the darkness of the room.
Yes, this was definitely very, very awkward.
As flattering as it might be, partly, it didn't do anything to make Ryuutaro feel more comfortable again.
While he didn't feel exactly uncomfortable either, this was just so weird.

"... it's fine..."

He'd just be very thankful if Hayato's thoughts could switch topic now.

And he just lay there trying to will the hot blush to leave his face. He snuggled his face a little into Ryuutaro's shoulder some more. He was thankful to be here with his boyfriend. He really was.

...but this whole mind reading thing was worrying him, what if he thought something wrong? Like he just had... well... that wasn't wrong... j-just embarrassing, and he didn't want to make his boyfriend uncomfortable.

He knew he already apologized... but he felt as though he should just do so again for being so... um... crass? In his thoughts.

...and probably keeping Ryuutaro awake with them. He needed to get back to sleep. He was warm, happy, and felt safe. Hayato took a deep breath and calmed down a bit. Of course he couldn't quite shake the memory of Ryuutaro holding him the previous week, but he was trying to focus on the fact that he got to fall asleep in someone's arms...and not being naked.

"Bueno notte amore."

Ryuutaro took a deep breath, trying to ban the previous bit of the conversation out of his head. It was easier that way, especially considering that they where sleeping right next to each other once again.

The Italian words were something he chose to ignore, even though he knew their meaning thanks to mind-reading. It didn't really bother him when Hayato spoke his native language, he just didn't overly like it either.
So instead of replying, he just put his arm around Hayato softly, hoping he'd fall asleep soon. Same for himself, he'd woken up so much over the past minutes.

Hayato wrapped his own arms around Ryuutaro, holding him close and it did not take too long for Hayato to drift off to sleep after that. His thoughts trailed off with him thinking of just how happy he was to be accepted like this, to think just a few moments ago he was afraid of how close Ryuutaro would let him get.

Luckily the rest of the night was peaceful, no nightmares, no embarrassing dreams.

Unluckily, right around the time morning hit, Gokudera had gotten a bit restless in his sleep and rolled so that he was nearly on top of Ryuutaro. He had his leg and his arm flung over the younger boy, and his face buried against his cheek.

Being the light sleeper he was, this naturally woke Ryuutaro up. For a moment he just sleepily blinked not even realizing what was going on.
And then he's just awake, realizing the position he was in, or rather Hayato was in.

Close.
Dangerously close.

It was not threatening, but... awkward. Ryuutaro might not feel extremely uncomfortable, but he still wanted to regain enough freedom to at least be able to move a bit.
Which proved to be a lot more difficult than he thought it would be. Hayato's body was just really difficult to move when the other boy was asleep and he did not want to wake him up either...

Hayato is vaguely conscious enough to feel something squirming beneath him. He wasn't aware of the who or what or why... just that the soft warm thing was moving away and he was comfortable right where he was.

So while still very much asleep, Gokudera wraps his arm around the bundle tighter and snuggled his face into it.

This was not getting any better.
While Ryuutaro was doubtlessly honoured to be object of these affections, he was beginning to feel quite trapped and that wasn't a good feeling.

There was a difference between allowing Hayato close and allowing Hayato to half-way strangle him.
Ryuutaro squirmed some more before finally giving up.
"Hayato...?", he asked softly, "Uhm..."

Mmm...

wordthings were happening. Nooo go away wordthings, he wanted to sleep.

He let out a little groan and his eyebrows knit together a bit... and he just buried his face into Ryuutaro neck.

... he was not making any progress here.
Ryuutaro sighed.

Why wasn't there a guidebook on how to handle things like this and if there was, why didn't he ever read it?

It was useless though. He really wanted to be able to move again.

"Hayato..."
.... sorry, but wordthings were happening after all.
