Elphaba was starving. Due to her new cravings, she hadn't been able to eat normal food - nor had she fed on anyone else in the Manor. So, she was more than a little bit cranky. Restless and bored, she had left her room with the intention of finding something to do to distract her from how hungry she was. However, when she accidentally took a wrong turn, she found that she'd never actually been in this particular room of the manor before. Pushing open the door to investigate, she just tood there and stared for a minute.
The walls were decked out with black and green balloons in varying shades, similarly coloured streamers and confetti strewn across a table full of food. As she stepped in to have a closer look, she noticed a cake in the middle of the table - it was chocolate, with 19 candles sticking out of it. Across the middle, her name was written in green icing. That made her look twice - how could the Author have found out when her damned birthday was..?? Immediatly, she started taking down the decorations. She wasn't in the mood to have a party, nor to look at all the food she wasn't able to eat.
