[Light isn't fond of drinking per se, but when it's Ocktoberfest, it's hard to avoid alcohol. Especially when the "natives" are buying it for you. He's almost happy when he sees Catherine acting that way across the bar because it means he has a somewhat valid excuse to put his beer down, so he can help his "friend." At first he hadn't been sure if she was a resident of the Manor, but seeing the Blackberry confirms it. He may never have seen Catherine around before, but he's already seen way too much of her. When you have even less subtlety than Misa, that's really not a compliment. He motions to the bartender and cancels Catherine's order. He turns to speak to Catherine looking distinctly unimpressed. Nice rack or not.]

[Thankfully Catherine had completely forgotten she had even given another order, nor that she cared either. It was fun pretending and she would keep it up if means be. Leaning forwards she looked closely at the bartender.]

[Light doesn't appreciate the scrutiny, but it goes unmentioned. Any and all scrutiny in return is aimed at Catherine's face. He supposes she would be considered attractive, but the observation is devoid of any personal sense of being attracted to her. Nothing personal; he just has other things he'd rather do with his time. It does occur to him however, that this being the Manor, there may be more to her than intoxication and cleavage. Powers, for instance. Which... leaves him trying to decide if he's bored enough to figure this out by playing a one sided game, or if he ought to leave as quickly as possible. As she doesn't seem dangerous, he stays put for now, keeping his tone friendly.]
