and who's the other guy singing in Van Halen

Bowling For Soup fucking rocked - they were a hell of a lot better than I expected them to be. Well except for the fact that all Chris seemed to do was piss about. Couldn't see Gary because he was hidden behind the drums (as most drummers tend to be! LOL) but Jaret and Eric were very very good. The show was incredibly spontaneous and you could tell when Jaret & Eric started mucking about because Gary would look very confuzzled - very fun. Including Eric actually taking off his trousers and standing there in his orange checked boxers when we all started chanting 'strip' and he showed us his nipple ring. which apparently he got done 'inthe back of the tour bus by a pregnant woman on crutches'
and there was slashy-ness including uhm Eric standing behind Jaret arms around his waist, playing with his balls. but no - not tempted to slash them. i dont think. subject to status *snerk*

edh got there about 5 minutes before doors opened and as per usual went straight in - i love pissing off all the people who have queued *evil cackle* went straight up to the boxes and found out the seating arrangement had been changed. Apparently 'The Band' wanted one of the boxes to themselves so we had to go in the first box. then it changed and we were back in the second box. but we had to kick this bunch of scruffy looking guys out the box - and then we found out they were The Feds when we saw them on stage a few mins later.
Support were Army Of Freshman, The Feds & Feable Weiner; all three of whom were actually very very good and i'm not a huge fan of support groups in the general so huzzah!
Anyway during those three, Gary, Eric, Jaret & Chris were all in the box next to us so I was quite litterally sitting 5 fucking feet away from them. So when they left the box i did a dash out of my box with a trusty pen in hand.

And now my ticket has four signatures on it. Which translates to I MET BOWLING FOR SOUP SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! those guys are really sweet, even if their accents are a little strong to understand and i had ringing ears which didn't help. And Jaret has a sexy arse

Onstage Jaret's guitar was the Texas flag and TX in the top corner - very very funky indeed. And all my favourite songs and all Paul's favourite songs were played. His being Emily and The Bitch Song. Mine being uhh 1985, Girl All The Bad Guys Want, Punk Rock 101, Surf Colorado, My Hometown, Come Back To Texas, Running From Your Dad and Dance With You. As well as covers of Baby One More Time and Summer Of 69

I was planning on being a good llama and staying in my little seat. but no. by the second song I was on my feet and leaning against the wall of the box. By the third song I was having my own little mini mosh jumping up and down and screaming and cheering. Which, might I add, is a lot safer than doing it in hte mosh pit LOL and there was a few times Jaret was looking up. So uhh I flashed him. And he literally stopped mid-song and went "Boooobieeees"
*g* apparently it was the first time this tour anyone had flashed *g*

And despite all the support saying "Cambridge - you're the best crowd we've played to" when BFS said it - you really really believed it

concerts, fangirling, bowling for soup
