On A Day Like Today...
Well if that wasn't just a disastrous week, I don't know what was! Last Thursday our boiler packed in and then when I came home from work I found my puter doing a very good impression of a Dodo - worked fine just long as I didn't want to do anything like turn it on!
So it went to work with Paul yesterday and his IT department spent the day reformatting and basically fixing it. It's now fixed and meded and partioned. But I lost EVERYTHING. I had like 10 gig of mp3/video files and something like 60mb of pictures. And now nothing; them along with my links are all gone. Including some really really rare Bon Jovi concert bootlegs that I'll probably never ever get back because the JoviHub doesn't exist any more.
But at least I have a working pc, right?
And a working boiler. It's great; you turn on the hot tap and hot water comes out of it, not freezing cold water. After a week of going around Dip's for a shower, I can have a nice long soak in my own bath... heavenly!
Mind, these things come in threes, so... what's next? LOL!
One a much funkier note, this morning I booked two tickets to see Bowling For Soup at Cambridge Corn Exchange on October 7. WOOHOO!!!
And Christine has just opened a new Good Charlotte Fanfiction archive. It's at http://www.gcfanfics.com and you should all go there right this very instant!
