What I'm Reading Wednesday
Almost forgot this. Almost forgot it was Wednesday. So many people around me have been so utterly convinced that today is Thursday that I started thinking it too!
Recently finished One Christmas In Paris by Mandy Baggot. Perfectly comfortable, warm fuzzy Christmas-themed chick lit. Girl gets her boy, girl reconnects with lost family, boy hosts photography exhibition... it's a chick-lit, you know what's going to happen and honestly, sometimes I just love them.
I'm a sucker for chick-lit, I adore Mandy Baggot's books, I've read pretty much all of them.
And this also fulfilled the 'read a book during the season it's set in' on the Popsugar 2019 Reading Challenge.
Currently reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I'm only about 50 pages in but I do not think this book and I are going to get on. The narrator thinks he's Holden Caulfied and so far there's just so much pretentious waffling. At one point, I actually hurt myself with the power of my eyeroll.
But, there's still another 500 or so pages to go. Not that I'll read them all if I'm not getting on with it but I need to give it a decent chance.
Next on the TBR is SG-1 14 - Valhalla by Tim Waggoner. Because... well... because SG-1! LOL
