So much for a quiet November

I thought November was going to be a quiet month. I thought I was going to be able to rest and hermit for a good while before I head off to the states for Christmas and do All The Things and See All The People. Then... well then this afternoon I sat down to do my monthly log in my planner and realised I was completely wrong and that I actually have a really freaking busy month coming up!

2nd - Amanda's leaving do, work meal out at Prezzo
3rd - Emma Stevens @ Birmingham Academy 3
4th - Wellington Fireworks display
11th - Spectacular Classics @ Birmingham Symphony Hall
17th -
charlies_dragon comes to see me
18th - Me and Dragon go see Jason MomoaJustice League (and possibly Thor: Ragnarok)
21st - Placebo @ Wolverhampton Civic
23rd - Telford Christmas Market opens
24th - Gary Quinn @ Aatma, Manchester
25th - Wellington Christmas Festival & Lights Switch On

Admittedly, a couple of those are 'would like to do if I have the pennies/availability on the day' things but even so... Honestly, I'm exhausted just thinking about all of that. I'm going to have to make sure I schedule in some mental and physical health rest days.

Especially considering I'm going to have to be pulling in a lot of overtime at work this week for a Big Project for the Facilities dept. One of those that the boss has had 18 months to do and suddenly needs big cost expenditure breakdowns. For 2015. For every fucking site. *bangs head into nearest brick wall* Basically, for over 40 sites, it's 'take the information from these 3 spreadsheets, and consolidate it into this one spreadsheet for group that boss doesn't understand' - it's not difficult, just time-consuming.

But yes... I've the busy November coming up. I'm quite excited about Doing All The Things and wondering where, exactly, I picked up some form of 'life' somewhere along the way. Not quite sure when that happened. It would be nice to have someone to go to things with but, at least with gigs like Gary, I know that when I get there I'll know half the folk there, so there's that :)
