And this is why Cassie shouldn't be allowed in shops, even supervised...

I went into Wellington today, hitting up the charity shops because I needed some thicker curtains for my bedroom - they're very thin and let in the light and I'm waking up at ridiculously early o'clock every morning because it's so light.

I traipsed around something like 6 different shops, but I did locate a pair. Sadly, they were not black but they are gold, which does at least fit the red/black/gold colour scheme, and have a slightly swirly pattern on them. They block the light out wonderfully.

Of course, while touring said shops, I also managed to bring home 11 books, 2 DVD boxsets and a top for work.

This was WHILE being supervised by my mother, who apparently cannot decide whether or not she's enabling my book buying habit or telling me off for it, or simply vacillating between the two.

I also discovered that the wonderful second hand bookstore is not only still there but bigger than ever and ALL PAPERBACKS ARE 50P EACH. In related news, it's 10 days til payday *grins*
