I swear one of the very very things that I dislike about my job is that I can't really wear the clothes I feel the most comfortable in. I am... shall we go with large chested? And because of that I tend to wear pretty deep v-neck tops, break things up a little.
Except I can't wear them.
There's no particular dress code, as such, but they ask that we take a 'conservative approach' to dress, and 'appreciate' no bare knees, no bare shoulders and no cleavage.
Literally, after a couple of days of working there I had to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe of tops to wear. So I have those 'boyfriend fit' t-shirts from Primark in pretty much every colour there are. Only now I have all my normal work clothes, my pretty summer tops, and the little summery dresses I wear languishing in my wardrobe without occasion to wear them.
*pouts*
Not that it really matters, I know.
And regardless of what I wear to work, the first thing I do when I get home is change into jeans and a baggy t-shirt anyway. I just like having that little sense of 'me' when I'm at the office.
