Wednesday
I survived my first solo day in London, my first payment run in London and my first night in London. It was all a wee bit stressful to start with; I got here and discovered the systems were down. All of them. But they came back up at lunchtime, I was able to get the runs approved, uploaded to the payment systems and get two director authorisations. I also sorted a number of queries. I have been SO giddy all afternoon!
Then I met up with
spazzer_mctwich and we toddled out to Wembley to find my hotel. Seriously, for £65 a night, this is a very nice hotel. Comfortable, clean, huge room. I do rather love Ibis!
L and I were supposed to have been going out sightseeing. What we actually did was... um... order room service, eat fish and chips and watch the first three episodes of Leverage S5. I can has an Eliot? And a Parker? And a Hardison?
It took me a while to get to sleep. Strange bed syndrome. I tossed and turned for about an hour, woke a couple times in the week but I did end up having good sleeps so it was a win in the end. I'm showerd and dressed, and about to head down to breakfast before attempting to navigate the tube back to Waterloo... wish me luck?
