when the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even...*
I'm fairly sure I say this every year but Boxing Day lunch is my favourite thing about the whole Christmas break. Well, next to mince pies, anyway... I don't think anything beats mince pies!
We have cheese, so much cheese - cheddar, edam, babybel, red leicester, double gloucester and feta. And we have ham and gammon and pigs in blankets and mozarella sticks and crackers. And beetroot and celery and cucumber and cherry tomatoes and carrot batons.
I'm going to be eating cheese, crackers and crudites for... a while. I went overboard as ever but ahh, you can't beat it. Then, when it's all gone, it'll be hitting the detox before getting back on the healthy eating horse but oh how I enjoy it.
It's also been a relaxing day of playing Farmville (oh, how i've missed Farmville), writing RPS (Chris/Steve with some random mpreg and babyfic that won't leave me alone) and watching lots of tv. There was the utterly fucking perfect Leverage finale. I've seen a few more episodes of Freaks & Geeks. I've finally started S3 of Covert Affairs and I'm now watching the pilot of Perception. Basically, I'm now up to July in tv shows... and catching up slowly.
Ahh a week off work.
