A Few TLOR thoughts
I'm kind of amused. After the stageit gig last night and con1/the asylum gig last weekend, so many people are all kind of 'OK, so now I get your whole Riley/Life Of Riley thing' which honestly, kind of makes me grin and beam and feel all kinda like a proud mama or something.
I actually had people I didn't know at Con1, especially after the gig, asking me who Riley was, getting me to recommend songs and movies :D
It happened a little after The Closer, The Glades and Universal Squadrons too. And every now and again I get emails from people going 'I just bought the life of riley cd and its your fault'
Again with not complaining, don't mind being blamed for that at ALL!
But also at the same time it's very much a case of 'well it took you bloody long enough' - I've loved the band since 07, loved Riley for... a fucking long time.
Because, y'know, I love those boys and I want them to have fans and successes they deserve and all things shiny.
But then there's this guilty selfish bit of me that wants to keep them all to myself.
