The Morning Wibble

I... have absolutely no idea what day it even is today - that's the only problem when you're either sick, or unemployed... all the days just roll into one and another and just turn into this huge CSI-watching blur. Well, the do if you're me and still marathoning CSI anyway!

Lets see... the last few days

Sunday I drove down south to see charlies_dragon. We had lunch at a very nice pub local to her called The Green Dragon, and wrote... um... Riley mpreg porn. We then drove a little further south to Horsham to see Last Letter Read playing inheadlining Rock In The Park. Due to lack of traffic and lack of getting lost, we got there... uhh.. .a few hours early. Sat in the pub, wrote... um... more of the Riley mpreg porn. Fed and watered ourselves, wandered into the park, found the bandstand as the first band were starting and settled down on a bench. Continued with the porn writing, met up with the boys.

They were awesome. Well, no. They were very good. The acoustics in the park are shit. They've never played outside before. To start with they were... poor. Rob's vocal's weren't strong enough and his stage presence was... uhh.. weak. But then about three songs into their set everything kicked in - unfortunately including technical problems. Like I said to them though... no, it wasn't their best show, wasn't their worst but it was still good.

I love that they love and appreciate that I drive 4 hours down to see them... it's one of the reasons I make the effort to do so. They're always still so surprised and I get hugs. They even managed to get a new Dragon shaped fan, who got a... few copies of their EP, and got it signed too. I'd already got the EP, bought it off itunes - to which they replied 'well what did you do that for?'

Met their new drummer LukePeaches who seems like a really nice lad. I missed Curt though. I think I'll always miss Curt. He was the member I got on best with from the get go. Note to self: send him a facebook message to say 'hi'

They're playing in Crawley on August 22nd. Dragon, me and Dragon!Brother are going. And they've promised to play Wave Out The Signals for me
*beams*

Things kind of went rapidly downhill from there, unfortunately.
Drove Dragon home, then toddled back round the M25 and up the M40. Started feeling like shit. Now, my mum's been sick for the last couple weeks - viral bronchitis it turned out. I figured I was just knackered, especially since Saturday night I'd only got about 3 hours sleep. Pulled over, inhaled Red Bull, sour sweets. Got some fresh air, stretched my legs. That revived me... ooh for about 5 miles or so and then my eyelids were getting heavy, I was coughing and starting to weave on the road.
I slowed right down, got to the next services which luckily had a £39 a night motel. I literally had £40 to my name. Checked in, passed out for 7 hours.
And can I just say that OMG I WANT THAT MATTRESS. It was the most firm mattress I've ever slept on, so damn comfortable.

I got home around 10:00 Monday morning and promptly passed out for the next few hours. I spent most of Monday kinda dozing and dying, started to realise that oh yay, I've got a stinking cold, prayed that I wasn't actual viral bronchitis-ing.

Yesterday morning, however, it became blatantly obvious that I WAS with bronchitis. I could barely breathe. I didn't eat all day, drunk lots though. Slept a lot.
I was also supposed to have been going to see Good Charlotte. Needless to say I didn't and there were also lots of tears yesterday afternoon regarding this. Although, I'm pretty sure I should be a whole lot more heartbroken about it than I actually am, which is somewhat confusing, to be honest.

Today, I'm feeling.. slightly more llama. My inhalers seem to be getting through the worst of the congestion on my chest and I can breathe. The sinus relief tablets are clearing the congestion from my head. I'm seriously doping and caffeinating myself to make myself better because the Jason gigs.

I think I've rambled at you enough by now, so I shall leave you

and go back to killing Kanewatching CSI and playing Frontierville
