Mayfield is a terrible place. People die here, and are exposed to the worst sorts of things... But even so, I'm happy here. I do wish Satoko and everyone in Hinamizawa are well, and that perhaps they are existing in a happy place where they see many tomorrows. And though I do wish to be home and seeing that exit with those I love, perhaps that is too much to ask, and I am best settling for what I can get. I have yet to die here but once or twice, and everyone in Mayfield supports each other, and remembers their mistakes...
Even if these are not "happy days", I will not allow them to become tragedies... I can't give up... Even if "not giving up" means to put faith in someone, and hope for the best...
I never thought trusting someone completely could be this terrifying..
