Character Name: Jackie Chan
Series: Jackie Chan Adventures
Timeline: After 3.02 “The Powers Unleashed”, when he has destroyed the 12 talismans and they are looking for the animals.
Background: At the
JCA Wiki here and the
regular wiki here. They sum it up pretty well.
But basically, AWKWARD KID turns into ass-kicking archeologist while running around the world after talismans and magic devices to stop bad guys from getting them. Hilarity ensues.
Spoken / written languages: English and Cantonese, both written and spoken.
Abilities: Jackie is a master of martial arts, and is quite capable at fighting, both offensive and defensive, as well as being quite athletic. Additionally, he seems to be able to find the weapon in anything if need be (windshield wipers, drumsticks, soup spoons). He’s also an archeologist, and quite a bit of knowledge about ancient cultures. Other than that, however, he’s completely human.
Items: Just the clothes on his back, a wallet, and a cell phone that doesn’t work :<
Third Person Sample: Jackie much preferred the quiet, and a quiet environment, to the noise and hectic atmosphere that was Uncle’s antique shop, or the confusion that was often Section 13. He was an archeologist; he preferred the books or the nonviolence of a dig.
Still, he’d grown used to Jade’s shenanigans and penchant for trouble, Uncle’s piercing cries and thwaps and shouts for tea and help, Tohru’s puttering around, or the clicks and beeps of Section 13.
Waking up face down in some nice carpeting in a room that wasn’t his own, and utterly devoid of noise or clutter, definitely made him very uneasy. He carefully picked himself up off the floor, rubbing the back of his head as he glanced around.
He was still dressed as he last remembered, after finding the spirit of the dog talisman - Scruffy, as Jade called him - and deciding to take it back to Section 13. After that…
He frowned. After that, everything went hazy, like he was sure something had happened but he couldn’t remember what. That wasn’t good. Had he been kidnapped? Did he have a concussion?
Jackie waved his fingers in front of his face, following them. He didn’t have a headache, and he followed them just fine. Maybe no concussion, then.
“Where is everybody?” He wondered aloud, glancing around again. It looked like a ships cabin, and moving to the window confirmed it - he was at sea.
If he was kidnapped, usually they grabbed someone else as well - or his friends wouldn’t be far behind, followed by Jade. She always seemed to get into any trouble he did, whether accidentally or because she wanted to.
He moved away from the window, spotting a door and a keycard on the desk next to it. That was strange, but he grabbed it anyway, opening the door and peering out into the hallway.
He didn’t see any guards. Or anything that looked like guards. It was just… empty.
Still, caution would be the best bet. After all, the guards could be invisible to the human eye! He leaned against a wall as he started down the hallway, looking for Jade, Tohru or Uncle. Heck, he’d take Captain Black, Viper or El Toro Fuerte at this point.
First Person Sample: [There’s some clattering, beeping, as Jackie touches the communicator. While not as inept as Uncle at recognizing the thing, he needs to aquaint himself first, so the thing ends up transmitting a video shot of his very frowny face.
This persists for a few seconds before he realizes the green box is on. And then his expression goes to an 8O!]
Bwahh!
[Some fumbling, and it turns off. Then it comes back on, transmitting audio.]
Is this working? Hellooooo?
[Tap tap tap tap.]
Jade, is this one of your toys? Were you kidnapped and this is your first breadcrumb? Or is this one of Captain Black’s new devices?
I would appreciate someone telling me what is going on, please. I thought I was kidnapped, but I have not been able to find my kidnappers!
Any information would be very useful. Thank you in advance.
[That said, Jackie finds the ‘off’ button.]
Preferred Quarters: Next to Uncle, or at least on the same deck.
