My New Year's Resolution: Choose better books to read

Here's the the list of what I read in 2014. Mostly crap, I'm disappointed to say, and not entirely my fault, since I didn't always pick worn-out serials.

I can recommend J.K. Rowling's new series, and my two favorite stand-alones were Karen Joy Fowler's We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves and A Good Hard Look by Ann Napolitano.
