Birthday
Life continues to be nuts.
I expected a horribly shitty birthday. I had a great day.
I had to work (boo) but I enjoy my job and Heidi (my boss) sent me home two hours early. And she hugged me when she heard it was my birthday. That is how cool my job is. My boss hugs.
Jason made me buy flip flops for myself, drove me home in our new car, and gave me a super cool hot pink travel coffee mug. Man after my own heart. Then I was able to open my birthday care package from my step-mom and dad, and it was so much fun. I got a cake in the mail. Hahaha.
Now, courtesy of step-mom and dad, I'm going shopping tomorrow, and I'm going to spoil myself! Cuz I've been pulled up by the roots, moved across the country, working my ass off, and I deserve to spend some birthday money on myself.
The only bad moment today was when Dyana (sister-in-law) showed up. After promising to be here for me when we moved here and not being here for me, and then promising 3 weeks ago that we would all kick it for my birthday...yesterday she told me she had made plans with a number of other people, but she wanted us to maybe come to her boyfriends tonight. Uh, no. Plus Thursday she had promised her boyfriend's saugheter to bring her to a movie tonight. What the hell?? So she showed up, and I was on the phone and didn't even want to see her. So she left a couple minutes later, because she only had a little bit of time. Right. Like seeing her for two minutes was going to make my day complete.
I have been so home sick, and my birthday hasn't helped and I knew she'd flake on me...but I really had hope that I might be important for one fucking day.
But fuck her. Jason and I had a great day. We got home awhile ago from chillin with his friend, who I really enjoy being around. We ate chinese for dinner (yum!) Now I'm going to go watch a movie and eat mailed cake and enjoy my first night at 22. And tomorrow we're going to have a blast, just the two of us.
And life will continue to be nuts.
