*sticks nose out into the wind - sniff, sniff*
Is anyone out there? I didn't intend to come here and post, possibly ever again, really.
But here I am, with a rant again THE MAN, TV EXECS, THE WAR ON WOMEN ON TELEVISION and spoilers. Spoilers for TVD, Arrow, Castle, NCIS, and OH, GUESS WHAT? PRISON BREAK IS COMING BACK!!!! *flails incoherently*
First things first:
This trailer is awesome and everything S3 nor 4 could have been because PAUL FUCKING SCHEURING is back with his babies firmly in his grasp.
TVD: this season without Elena actually didn't suck as much as I thought it would and I'm surprised I even watched it, but I did. I think it was better than S5 even though they retconned a couple of major plot points that BUG me greatly, but nothing will ever be as bad as Katherine taking over Elena's body.
Arrow: I quit watching when they killed Laurel. I just couldn't deal with it. I was already not enjoying where the Olicity relationship was going/ended up. And then they destroyed the story of Tommy and Laurel through retconning that made absolutely no sense. It just sucked. I'm still watching The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, just behind a little bit.
Castle: They fired Stana Katic, THE FUCKING LEADING LADY OF THEIR SHOW. and the internet broke. So it got cancelled. So they half assed their SERIES FINALE, and it showed. But I don't even care because at least they didn't get to keep going without half the reason they were even on the air to begin with. *rolls eyes*
NCIS: I quit watching two years ago when Ziva left the show. It just wasn't the same without her, and I couldn't deal with it. Turns out, neither could Michael Weatherly, who plays Tony, the other half of the ship that never quite sailed "Tiva" -- only, guess what? When Michael decided to leave the show, a lot of talk came up about the Ziva-connection and he said part of the reason he decided to leave was because of missing their relationship on-screen. So his final episode featured a RETCON reveal that he and Ziva had sex the last time they saw each other and she got pregnant and never told Tony about it. Then, she gets killed somehow, so Tony finds out he's got a two year old daughter. MAJOR FUCKING FAIL, CBS. Way to make me glad I quit your show when I did.
PRISON BREAK: I have no words for this one. I'm beside myself with happiness.
In other news, I now watch TURN: Washington's Spies, Underground (BEST SHOW ON TV), Chicago Med (not as good as ER, but a nice show), Containment (already canceled, tho), and I picked The Originals back up. Now that summer is almost upon us, I will be starting my Netflix account up again...time for House of Cards and Daredevil!
P.S.: They killed two females off of The Originals this year, too, which has made me question where we'll go from here.
