Everything Is Sunshine And Rainbows And Puppies Flying Out Of My Ass ‘Ships

I don't really do these kind of ships. I get off on ANGST...so as I was racking my brain for the answer to this one, I still came to what might be an unconventional answer, but let me give it to you...

The first four seasons of this show give you all the angst you could ever want. And as I progressed through the fourth season, I was starting to have PTSD. A few years before I had quit watching Bones because I just couldn't get onboard with two adults who were so obviously in love with each other being contrivedly kept apart. With Castle, all of S4 leads to what viewers want--the payoff is glorious. And then ensuing seasons since is what has turned this ship into Sunshine, Rainbows, and Puppies (unicorns, too, for that matter). They became the ship that I could count on to always be together, to be united no matter what, to endure very difficult relationship obstacles and believably come out of them stronger than ever.

And if anything were ever to break them up (say one of the actors leaving the show and the writers being dumb enough to think they could go on without them), I would be BALLISTIC.

The magic of Beckett and Castle was that they avoided it for a very long, long time, but once they went there, they fully committed, and it is so beautiful. To see adults who have found their match and who are willing to work out whatever they've got to work out to make the match last. I realized just how much I loved that aspect of them when they got married this past season (Season 7) and I wept during their ceremony. It was so beautiful, and they are a perfect, shiny, lovely couple, who hopefully are impenetrable when it comes to TPTB ruining them.

[I have no back up ship for this spot--because I never have these kinds of ships!]

ships! ftw, rick/kate, castle
