[He is Risen!]

I've been meaning to post about the Garth Brooks concert I got to go to...but it just hasn't worked out for me to devote the time I'd like to, to writing about it.

Maybe later today I can do that.

Right now, I'm reflecting on Easter, and what that means--like really means, you know, what I believe about it, and how grateful I am for knowledge of Jesus Christ and all that He has done for me.

And on Friday I went to see Furious 7...which was just as emotionally devastating as I expected it to be. The only action movie I've ever sobbed my way through, for sure. But in a beautiful twist, it actually coincides with Easter, you know?

Because Paul Walker, like all those who went before him and all of us who will go after him, are not lost. We will live again.

It's funny, I remember watching the first movie, The Fast and the Furious back in 2001 when it first came out and being so sad at the end when Dom wrecks his GTO. It was such a beautiful car, and it's such a hellacious wreck, that the character walks away from, bleeding slightly, but okay. Through the rest of the films, there is the restoration of that vehicle, and again it holds great symbolism.

All of our flaws and ailments will one day be gone, we will be restored to a perfect state to live forever as perfected beings (well, some of us will) and I hope to do all I can to be worthy of God's grace.

To all of you who celebrate, Happy Easter, and to all of you who don't, God is good. He loves us all, and his light is what makes me life worth living. I just wanted to share that today.

happy holidays!, paul walker
