I want you all to know that S6 of The Vampire Diaries is one of the single best television experiences I've ever had. And this was only episode 16. There are still, bless them, SIX EPISODES TO GO.
I just can't.
It's like, I want to tell you all the crazy thoughts in my head, but I can't even fully process them. So all I'm gonna say is that Ian Somerhalder as a director?
SO GOOD. BEYOND GREAT. LIKE, HE'S THE BEN AFFLECK OF TV SHOWS. Now, I will say that he had about the third best written episode of the series to work with, and all the glory that is Candice Accola and Kat Graham and Chris Woods and Ian Somerhalder as actors, but still. What a fantastically dynamic episode. What a brilliantly funny episode. What a horrifically terrifying episode. What a terribly sad and angsty episode that has about ZERO romantic meanderings for a show based on a love triangle.
So, maybe I'll be back with ACTUAL thoughts. Or maybe this is all I can come up with. Peace out.
