I found free downloads of three new shows I was somewhat interested in, so I watched them all yesterday, and I don't plan to watch any of them anymore, so I'm not adding anything to my TV list, which is good, but I just wanted to ask if anyone here happened to watch Gotham?
I love Ben McKenzie (I am a HUGE FAN of SouthLAnd, and am still brokenhearted that it got canceled), but I thought his acting was TERRIBLE in Gotham. I mean, it was PAINFUL for me to watch. The first time I ever saw him was in Junebug and I thought he was so amazing, and every second on SouthLAnd was top notch, too, so the only thing I can figure is the writing is really terrible for this show. But I thought Jada Pinkett Smith was GREAT. Of course, villains tend to be better-written characters. Just wondered if anyone else watched it.
The other two I watched were How To Get Away With Murder, which was a typical Shonda Rhymes show in which nobody appeals to me because they are all morally bankrupt; and Black-ish, which I thought had interesting commentary on how black people feel about how they are perceived. Of all of them, that's the one I'm most likely to watch again, but while it was interesting, it wasn't super-funny, which is what I thought it would be.
Anyway, The Good Wife is the only one of my shows besides The Voice that is back already and they are both just as awesome as ever! But next week is the big week: Castle and The Vampire Diaries! w00t w00t!
