26. What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you’ve had to research for a fic?
Most recently: uncircumcised penises. LOL. Throughout my career, everything from Catholic Priests and Priesthood requirements of the Catholic Church to how many miles it is from fictional Mystic Falls, Virginia to Denver, Colorado.
27. Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
I used to write everything by hand, but I retrained myself because it was too time-consuming to handwrite and then type it. My favorite place to write is anywhere in my house. I don't have to be in a certain spot.
28. Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
I did write some Prison Break fics in a somewhat collaborative effort. Several were just "missing scenes" in a favorite authors epic WIP, but later, we did a fun exercise together where we wrote a piece together. Later when we published it, no one could tell where she took over, and I thought it was pretty significant as she is British and I'm American.
An artist drew a lovely picture for my Big_Bang years ago, and that was fun because she chose a particular scene and created a moment from it, which I loved.
29. What is your current project or projects?
I'm working on the third part of a TWD trilogy. I've got to finish it before S5 starts on October 12th!
30. Do you have a favorite fic you’ve written? What makes it your favorite? And don’t forget to give us a link!
I've told this story a billion times, really. So, short version: in my Glee heyday I also saw the musical Wicked. The line from the song "Thank Goodness" -- because happy is what happens when all your dreams come true -- created this epically angsty idea in my head, it just all sprang up at once, the most vivid of any inspiration I've ever had for any fic ever. So I wrote it and it was everything I imagined plus some other-worldly wonderfulness I couldn't have created myself. I still just love it so much, and I wrote it four and a half years ago,
my masterpiece!
