This here is wisdom :). Because you're right -- I feel many fic writers feel themselves under pressure to ~finally write and publish something original, and that's just bullshit. We write what we write, and we don't owe anyone anything. I'm so glad you made your peace with this!
(Also, TVD. I think I had my TVD crisis earlier than you did, but s5 just killed it for me, and I'm not even sure if I want to watch s6. But that's okay. I actually like not having a dominant fandom right now, and writing for a variety of things. Makes life more interesting ;).)
It's just one of those things, like fanfic is secondary citizenship or something, you know? And that's crazy because I read a lot of fanfic and I enjoy it MORE than a lot of books I've read. And I know people have enjoyed what I've written and I don't need to do more than that...unless it happens. And if it's meant to be it will.
I def. still want to watch S6 of TVD. It is more healthy to be spread around, though, I think ;-)
*blows kisses* As always, too sweet. But yes, I do think there is some idea behind art and artists that is counter-productive to the true ideal of it: creativity! And that can't be mass produced and marketed in the same way assembly-line gadgets are. And I'm finally okay with that!
I vote arrow! no pressure tho ;) This is Caroline btw. I'd still like to pick your brain for the blogging thing. Nothing too migraine inducing. I'm more of a reader than a writer.
