30 Days of Fic Writing: Day 4
4. Do you have a “muse” character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn’t about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
Every initial writing venture on my part is sparked by one thing, and one thing only: sexual attraction. Even if I chose to lead with the female voice, which I suppose has happened though I'm not going to go through all my fics to remind myself what the "first" POV was, but I would guess that female was admiring/lusting after/in love with the guy I wanted to write and/or pair her with. In fact, in the Prison Break fandom, I wrote Lincoln Burrows in hundreds of fics with at least four different leading ladies. All of whom loved him and/or desired him very much. LOL, channeling much? And such is the case, at least for me, with every other fandom. Give me a fandom that I've written in and I'll give you the guy I'm attracted to, it's that simple.
The only exception would The Walking Dead...and I'd say I'm attracted to Daryl NOW, but I wasn't for a very long time, which is why I never wrote any fic until almost the end of the fourth season. He had to grow on me, and get paired with the right girl, I guess. :D
